ACADEMIC MISCONDUCT, MALPRACTICE AND PLAGIARISM POLICY

This Policy provides guidance to students and academic staff on Academic Misconduct, Malpractice and Plagiarism Policy. The aim is to maintain the integrity of academic awards and procedures. The procedures will ensure consistency of  approach by all members of staff and will supplement the college’s disciplinary procedures and will ensure that the integrity of the processes of assessment and procedures for dealing with academic misconduct are applied consistently and that these procedures comply with the requirements of external awarding bodies. This policy applies to all formative and summative assessments both internal and external and describes procedures to ensure the integrity of the assessment process and satisfactory academic progress.

Academic dishonesty covers any attempt by a student to gain an unfair advantage (e.g. extra marks) for her/himself, or for other students, by unauthorised means. Examples of such dishonesty include collusion, deceit, plagiarism, presenting of copied material as your own and cheating in examinations:

  • Collusion includes, but is not limited to, the conscious collaboration, without official approval, between two or more students, in the preparation and production of work which is then submitted as individual work. In cases where one (or more) student has copied from another, all students involved may be penalised.
  • Deceit includes misrepresentation or non-disclosure of relevant information, including the failure to disclose any cases of work being submitted for assessment that has been or will be used for other academic purposes.
  • Plagiarism is the act of using other peoples words, images etc. as if they were your own. To make clear to readers the distinction between your words, images etc.
  • Cheating is defined as any attempt to gain an unfair advantage in an assessment (including examinations) or assist another student to do so. It includes copying from other candidates, collusion, impersonation, plagiarism, and unauthorised access to unseen examination papers.

It is in the best interests of all students of EduVisa Graduate School of Management to maintain the good reputation of its academic programmes. The candidate/student's cooperation is expected in actively protecting the integrity of the assessment process. It is the duty of all candidate/students of EduVisa Graduate School of Management to have high personal standards of academic honesty in their studies and to report any instances of malpractice of which they become aware. Plagiarism is measured in terms of a percentage which indicates non-original content based on a similarity count that compares the submission of the candidate/student with previously submitted, published, or generated text on databases, journals, and sources available on the Internet. However, the acceptable percentage of plagiarism is considered to be 10% while any plagiarism similarity in excess of 25% is considered as a high percentage which requires suspension of academic enrolment.

Plagiarism comes in many forms, some more severe than others—from rephrasing someone’s ideas without acknowledgement to stealing a whole essay/paragraph. These are the five most common types of plagiarism:

  • Global plagiarism means passing off an entire text by someone else as your own work.
  • Verbatim plagiarism means directly copying someone else’s or a source on the Internet's words.
  • Paraphrasing plagiarism means rephrasing someone else’s ideas to present them as your own.
  • Patchwork plagiarism means stitching together parts of different sources to create your text.
  • Self-plagiarism means recycling your own past work.
  • AI-Plagiarism occurs when the student try to pass AI-generated text off as his/her work. AI-assisted plagiarism can take various forms, including global plagiarism and patchwork plagiarism.
  • Failing to use quotation marks and identifying the source
  • Cutting and pasting from the internet
  • Copying and re-wording or summarising someone else’s work without acknowledgement
  • Not labelling diagrams/illustrations produced by someone else

Working with another student when a task should have been done alone

Paraphrasing - Many students do not realise that paraphrased material should be attributed to the original author

    Using a ghost writer.

Any form of suspected plagiarism (where the student has previously been cautioned about the possibility of plagiarism in his/her submitted text or has been flagged by the anti-plagiarism software of EduVisa ) will lead to a deep-search analysis of relevant material and text submitted by the candidate/student.

Outcome of being flagged for plagiarism:

  • The candidate/student who has definitively made him/herself guilty of any act of the above categories or descriptions of "plagiarism" faces immediate termination of course registration/enrolment without the option of refunding of paid administrative or academic fees to compensate for any institutional reputation damage that EduVisa Graduate School may suffer because of the plagiarism.
  • The infringement will be documented by for future reference, accreditation, placement, and recommendation purposes and will be incorporated in any Student Portfolio requirement which will affect the suitability of the candidate/student's te be recommended for academic progression purposes or employment placement .
  • The candidate/student will be notified in writing via the EduVisa Message System (Student Portal) of such an infringement as well as the punitive measures and possible outcomes following an in-depth and comprehensive analysis of the candidate/student's submitted assessments in any format.
  • The verdict and outcome of the Ethics Committee may make provision for "partial suspension" which will allow the student to complete  the specific course, module or unit effected by the act of plagiarism but will prohibit any further studies without the option of refunding of paid administrative or academic fees.
  • The candidate/student will appear before an Ethics Committee where extenuating circumstances may be considered after which the committee may either confirm the prescribed punitive measure (immediate suspension) or propose restorative measures that confirm the seriousness of the offence but at the same time grant the candidate/student the opportunity to continue with the academic process.

Tutors are responsible for informing all students of the extent to which they may collaborate in course work. This should be made clear in writing in the instrument of assessment.

Where Tutors are responsible for producing instruments of assessment, steps should be taken to ensure that these are less likely to permit plagiarism, collusion or other means of cheating. Tutors are responsible for ensuring that all assessments are carried out in such a way that will reduce opportunities for plagiarism, collusion or cheating.

External assessment

The School Examination Officer will communicate directly with appropriate academic staff and invigilators to ensure the required adherence to administrative procedures for external examinations. SQA require a separate signed statement by students for course work submitted for externally assessed examinations. Implementation of the academic misconduct policy will be in line with the guidelines provided by awarding and examining bodies covering incidences of plagiarism or academic dishonesty. Students should be made aware of the policy and probable outcome of academic misconduct as applied by the awarding body regulating the award undertaken. When it is suspected that there is evidence of plagiarism the lecturer should discuss this with the internal verifier or the Principal in order to consider the seriousness of the suspected offence and if the evidence suggests that the offence is minor and not deliberate or is moderate and may be deliberate or is major and is deliberate.  If minor misconduct is proven or acknowledged and is a first offence, it is likely that one or more of the following penalties will be implemented:

The EduVisa "Dual Qualification" Policy applies specifically to the Integrated Master's of Business Administration (iMBA) Degree Programme and incorporates the element of Progressive Qualification Certification (PQC) which provides for an Uniqual-IQF (Formative Assessment) after which the student progresses to a curriculum-mapped Ofqual-RQF (Summative Assessment) that again results in a UK-Ofqual Accredited Diploma at RQF Levels 4 to 8 (equivalent to the relevant Bachelor, Master's and Doctoral degree levels and credit-bearing towards the full UK MBA Degree).

Students completing the iMBA Degree Programme consequently may be awarded an EduVisa IQF- as well as an Ofqual RQF level 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 diploma qualification while studying towards a Master's of Business Administration Degree (MBA) on the integrated EduVisa/Arden University MBA Programme.

REASONABLE ADJUSTMENT AND SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS POLICY

EduVisa is dedicated to adhering to all relevant legislation concerning the development and delivery of qualifications and ensuring fair access to assessments for all students.

EduVisa makes provision for a reasonable adjustment in the case of students suffering from a permanent disability or if a specific learning need has to be addressed. These adjustments are intended to help minimize disadvantages during assessments and may include but are not limited to the following interventions:

    • Modifying assessment conditions, such as allowing extra time
    • Adapting materials, e.g., providing Braille versions
    • Offering support during assessments, like a sign language interpreter or reader
    • Adjusting the assessment environment, such as minimizing visual distractions for autistic learners
    • Allowing the use of coloured overlays

Reasonable adjustments must be requested and approved before the assessment takes place, ensuring equitable access for all students.

Special consideration applies when a learner experiences temporary illness, a medical condition, learning difficulties, or other circumstances that impact their performance during an assessment. If approved, a special consideration may result in a minor post-assessment adjustment to the learner’s mark, reflecting the level of difficulty they encountered.

All documents related to reasonable adjustments and special considerations are securely stored on the EVUS platform and recorded on the Student Profile for future reference. The EduVisa Reasonable Adjustment and Special Considerations Policy sets out steps to be followed to implement reasonable adjustments and special considerations. EduVisa recognises that:

    • Reasonable adjustments may be required, particularly in assessment situations, so that assessments are a fair test of a learner’s knowledge and what they capable of.
    •  The usual format of assessment may not be suitable.
    •  Our assessments are fair without being prejudicial or advantageous to those who require reasonable adjustments and special considerations to be made.
    •  All Study Centres should have a Reasonable Adjustment and Special Considerations Policy.

Reasonable adjustments refers to any activity that helps to reduce the effect of a disability or difficulty that places the learner at a substantial disadvantage in the assessment situation, such as:

    • Allowing learners extra time to complete the assessment activity
    • Adapting assessment materials
    • Providing facilitators that have been sensitised in this regard
    • Changes to the learning environment

EduVisa makes provision for special considerations to be applied after an assessment if there is a substantive reason (supported by documented evidence) to believe that the learner has been disadvantaged by the assessment. Reasons for special considerations may include:

    • Temporary illness
    • Injury
    • Bereavement
    • Family issues
    • Personal issues

Learners cannot enter a plea for special considerations for assessments based solely the grounds of disability. Learners must declare any grounds for special consideration prior to the assessment in time allow the EDUVISA Graduate School of Management to make reasonable adjustments. Where an assessment required that a criterion is met it may not be appropriate to apply special consideration, in which case an opportunity to re-take the assessment may be allowed.

When making decisions regarding reasonable adjustments, the EDUVISA Graduate School of Management will take into consideration the following:

    • That learners must be able to cope with the level and content of assessment.
    • That set standards of competence (as laid down by the Awarding Body cannot be altered.
    • That learners will not gain an advantage or disadvantage from any adjustment.
    • Any adjustment will be based on the individual needs of the learner.
    • Each adjustment and the circumstances thereof will be considered on an individual basis.
    • That any adjustment will not affect the learners’ normal way of working, providing that this does not affect what is being assessed in any way.

During the process of recruitment and onboarding EduVisa Graduate School of Management will ensure that:

    •  Learners are given the appropriate advice and guidance at the outset of their programme of study and that their needs will be met.
    • Each learner will be assessed on their potential to achieve any qualifications. In doing, support, where appropriate will be identified and made know to the learner.
    • In the event that a learner is identified as not being able to meet the requirements for attainment of a particular assessment or parts thereof, this will be communicated to the learner, so that appropriate study decisions can be made.
    • All learners will be made aware of study options available and adjustments that may be necessary and any restrictions on progression routes from learners not achieving certain outcomes.

EduVisa Graduate School of Management supports the principle of open and public dialogue and will ensure that all details relating any reasonable adjustments by communicated our External Verifiers upon request pertaining to the following:

    • Services for learners with learning difficulties
    • Services for learners with hearing impairments
    • Services for learners with visual impairment
    • Services for learners who have a permanent physical impairment
    • Services for learners who have a medical condition or temporary injury
    • Services for learners whose first language is not English

In the event that the EDUVISA Graduate School of Management needs additional advice and guidance they will contact the Awarding Body to seek clarification before making any decision in accordance with their rules for application.

DUAL QUALIFICATION - iMBA DIPLOMA CAPSTONE REQUIREMENT

EduVisa Graduate School of Management (EduVisa GSM) may upon request/nomination consider the awarding of diploma qualifications (subject to compliance with the relevant UK-Ofqual & BAC-University guidelines and policies) at IQF-assessment and accreditation level while taking into consideration declared RPLE policies, the level and duration of previous employment at a middle to senior management level, the nature and extent of collaboration agreements, role and contribution to society and the status of qualifications previously obtained after completion of a prescribed curriculum (including formal moderated assessment/examination) as approved and accredited in terms of government legislation or a government-recognised award body.

Consideration will only be given to such requests if proof of attendance, study process and examination results can be validated as it applies specifically to the field of business and management studies relevant to iMBA Curriculum.

The EduVisa ROLE-Committee will, in the case of a non-business and management academic history, require the candidate to complete an EduVisa Diploma Capstone Programme at the appropriate level (IQF-Levels 4 to 7) consisting of an IQF-assessment of 6 elective modules as proof that the candidate has indulged in moderated business studies. The EduVisa Diploma Capstone Programme can be completed in 3–4 months and may result in a Diploma in Management (QF-L4Dip.Man), Higher Diploma in Management (IQF-L5HDip.Man), Graduate Diploma in Management (IQF-L6GDip.Man) or Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (IQF-L7PGDip.Man) to meet accreditation and qualification audit and validation requirements relevant to the UK-Ofqual and UK-BAC regulatory environment.

The issuing of the mentioned diploma qualifications qualify the candidate to proceed with the relevant RQF-Assessment/Examination phase in order to be awarded a EduVisa-Ofqual L4, L5, L6 or L7 diploma qualification and to proceed to the next academic year.

Candidate applying for the EduVisa Diploma Capstone Programme will also be considered for the EduVisa Scholarship Discounted Fee (-25%) Programme when continuing their studies towards the iMBA Degree via EduVisa/Arden University.

Please note that an IQF diploma certification (Formative Theory Assessment) serves as the forerunner to UK-Ofqual RQF certification (Summative Theory Assessment) accredited on the UK-Ofqual qualification framework. It is also important to note that only the final EduVisa-Ofqual (RQF) qualification qualifies for accreditation purposes when submitted to a quality assurance body (SCO, Ofqual, EQA, SAQA etc). In this regard, the name, logos, website content or accreditation status of EduVisa Graduate School of Management, its academic programmes or academic partners may not be copied or used for accreditation validation purposes by third-parties, academic partners or individuals. Such action constitute a fraudulent action.

    AWARDING OF HONORARY QUALIFICATIONS

The criteria for the awarding of Honorary Qualifications varies from country to country as is illustrated by the following references:

The awarding of any Honorary Qualification may require the completion of curriculum components in support of the qualification. The awarding of such a Honorary Qualification will only take place after careful consideration and final recommendation by the EduVisa Council.

    ASSESSMENT PHASE POLICY

EduVisa Graduate School of Management follows a three-phase assessment process that provides for cross-curriculum alignment (RQF, SCQF, NQF, EQF, etc), adheres to international qualification assessment requirements associated with prominent business schools and universities and meets the curriculum content requirements associated with UniQual (IQF) and Ofqual (RQF) accreditation requirements:

    • Formative Theory Assessment (IQF) - Formative Theory Assessment takes place at a modular level and verifies that the student has reached an acceptable level of theoretical exposure and understanding of subject contents. Formative Theory Assessment is certified at IQF-level by UniQual and guarantees that the benchmark Ofqual (RQF) curriculum and module content in addition to alternative qualification frameworks (Example EQF, NQF, SAQA, AQF, SCQF, CHEA etc) has been met. Completion of the module-mapped Formative Theory Assessment Phase thus certifies that the candidate has successfully completed the prescribed module-mapped tests relevant to a Diploma (Dip.Man) (IQF-L4) (Bachelor 1st Year), Higher Diploma (HDip.Man) (IQF-L5) (Bachelor 2nd Year), Graduate Diploma (GDip.Man) (IQF-L6) (Bachelor 3rd Year) or Post-Graduate Diploma (PGDip.Man) (Masters) (RQF-L7). The purpose of the Formative Assessment Phase, in terms of subject knowledge, is to introduce the student to the theory of Business and Management Studies in general and more specifically to familiarise the student with the predominant legal, organisational, and economic environment in which he/she is likely to operate in the future. Candidates are required to obtain a minimum average of 50% or "Pass" to proceed to the Summative Assessment Phase (RQF-Level).

    • Summative (Applied) Assessment (RQF) - To meet accreditation and alignment requirements that form part of the Registered Qualification Framework (RQF) as stipulated by UK-Ofqual students are expected to complete a theoretical revision of modules studied at IQF-Level followed by the submission of module-mapped prescribed assignments at RQF-Level to evaluate the overall level of student comprehension at theoretical as well as interpretive/application level. Each assignment, after completion of the initial marking, will be submitted for external moderation (UK & International) to comply with the Ofqual-RQF qualification regulatory requirements. Successful completion of the Summative (Applied) Assessment Phase will result in the awarding of an RQF-Accredited Diploma at RQF-L4, RQF-L5, RQF-L6 or RQF-L7 levels. Completion of the Graduate Diploma (RQF-L6) will open the door to registering for a Bachelor in Business Honours (BBA-Hons) Degree while completion of a Post-Graduate Diploma (PGDip.Man) (RQF-L7) will open the door to registering for a Master's in Business Administration (MBA Top-Up) Capstone BA (Capita Selecta & Research Dissertation) respectively.

    • University Assessment - University assessment takes place after the student has completed the UK-Ofqual RQF-L7 academic year and has registered for the final Capstone phase of the iMBA Degree Programme (MBA Top-Up) or alternatively has directly enrolled for an online full-time BBA-Hons, BSc, LLB, MBA, MA, MSc or LLM Degree Programme via EduVisa/Arden University or alternative university of choice.
    • Please peruse Plagiarism & AI Misuse Policy, Assessment Procedure Policy and Assessment Submission Security Policy for further information.

    ASSESSMENT PROCEDURE & STANDARDISATION POLICY

    • EduVisa has implemented a fixed standard in terms of assessment procedure, assessment verification, assessment moderation and the process of clarification of all the aspects pertaining to assessment to students. This ensures that students follow a standard and uniform assessment format irrespective of the qualification or curriculum level they are being assessed at and that they are well informed about the required assessment methodology, guidelines pertaining to assessment legalities (plagiarism, proctored examinations and AI misuse) and
    • The EduVisa Virtual University System (EVUS), uses an interactive artificial Intelligence-driven assessment methodology that has been developed for ease of operation on all electronic devices including mobile/mobiles, tablets and laptops which possess Internet connectivity via Wi-Fi, 3G/4G/5G or other means.
    • The EduVisa Virtual University System (EVUS) instantaneously generates results after the completion of each Module Assessment and allows the learner/student to repeat the specific module assessment until the required level of competency (minimum pass rate) has been achieved.
    • The EduVisa Virtual University System (EVUS) communicates the EduVisa Assessment Process and Policy at the beginning of each course, module or unit online assessment in order to guide the student during the assessment (test, examination, assignment, or online interview process.
    • EduVisa, in line with the UK-Ofqual and UniQual Qualification Frameworks as well as leading universities like Harvard and Columbia, implemented the following grading system: Fail / Pass / Merit / Distinction. As soon as a learner/student has achieved a “Pass” or minimum level of competency he/she is automatically forwarded to the next module or academic phase. This provides for a shortened study period on the side of the learner/student and completion of the final qualification in a shortened period of time. If the learner/student, however, registers a “Fail” during a Module Assessment he/she is offered another opportunity to complete the specific module assessment until the required level of subject competency is achieved.
    • EduVisa follows a Blended-Learning/Self-Paced pedagogic methodology and as a result, learners/student can determine their own tempo of academic progress. This contributes to a shorter study period but also makes provision for the learner/student who will take a longer period to finish his/her studies because of circumstances.
    • Students are advised to limit their assignments during the RQF Summative Assessment Phase to between 5000 – 8000 thousand words per assignment but will not be penalised for exceeding the indicated word count limit if the content relates to the assignment topic. All assignments need to be uploaded via the Student Portal in the Dashboard Assignment area. Students are required to submit a Plagiarism Report with each Summative Assessment Assignment. After an assignment has been submitted, it is elevated to a subject-relevant lecturer after which it may be selected for internal moderation purposes at the faculty level. Once assignments have been internally moderated and the initial marking has been confirmed assignments are uploaded to the UK-Ofqual system for external verification and qualification certification purposes.
    • It is accepted that learners/students who participate in any form of online study and assessment have taken notice of and agreed to the terms, conditions and policies reflected on the EduVisa website (EduVisa Policy Index).
    • EduVisa utilises various online question formats to ensure that the learner/student is exposed to the total spectrum of assessments that are usually associated with a university-campus environment.
    • Learners/students will be required to complete proctored/open-source module assessments within a specified period based on the time-allocation formula of +/- 30 seconds per mark allocation.
    • When completing an online Module Test it is recommended that the learner/student study the different options before deciding on the correct answer. Questions are formulated in such a way as to test the knowledge of the student and to ensure that a certain level of competency is achieved.
    • Please take note that module questions are randomly selected from an international databank utilised by universities and qualification accreditation bodies for online assessment purposes and may be compiled in such a way that it is open to “interpretation” or “context” on the side of the learner/student due to several reasons. The artificial intelligence (AI) logarithms utilised by the EduVisa Virtual University System (EVUS) automatically adjust the mark of the student upwards with a pre-calculated percentage during the moderation process to provide the candidate with the benefit of the doubt. This also accommodates the issue of online candidates who complete module tests on their own and does not have the luxury of “clarification” or “contextualisation” of questions by a lecturer during a “sit-in” or “supervised” examination session.
    • Learners/Students receive instantaneous feedback in terms of the overall grading achieved as well as the number of marks obtained per question. EduVisa does not follow a “spoon-feeding” approach where learners/students are “guided” to the correct answer to achieving maximum student pass rates but instead focuses on equipping the learner/student with a comprehensive theoretical knowledge base that will elevate him/her in the future academic/professional environment.
    • Please peruse Plagiarism & AI Misuse Policy, Assessment Phase Policy and Assessment Submission Security Policy for further information.

    ASSESSMENT SUBMISSION SECURITY POLICY

EduVisa has instituted security protocols to govern and guarantee the safe and fair delivery of assessments. This is guaranteed by the introduction of a secure assessment process via the EduVisa Virtual University System (EVUS) which allows for proctored module/unit tests, various plagiarism and AI evaluations of submitted documentation and systemic checks and balances that prohibits irregularities during the submission process. Please peruse Assessment Procedure Policy, Assessment Phase Policy and Plagiarism & AI Misuse Policy for further information.

    QUALITY ASSURANCE POLICY

EduVisa Business School has instituted a Quality Monitoring Board (QMB) to comply with international higher education academic qualification quality requirements such as UniQual and Ofqual. This ensures that EduVisa delivers accredited online courses and resources to not only meet the learning needs of the student but to set a benchmark that meets international academic and research standards globally.

    APPEALS POLICY

As a provider of learning for students, the EduVisa Graduate School of Management is duty bound to provide a means by which students are able to appeal against assessment decisions. The aim of this document is therefore to detail the mechanism by which appeals against assessments can be made. The Appeals Process is available to all the EduVisa Graduate School of Management students. Students have the right to appeal in the following circumstances:

    •  Any grade awarded for any piece of work that contributes to the final grade
    •  Any grade awarded which may affect a student’s transfer/progression opportunities between courses or years of courses
    • A final year/course grade

As part of the quality monitoring of the EduVisa Graduate School of Management courses, students can appeal against any aspect of an assessment decision. However, it is expected that students would normally appeal against the following:

    • That parts of the documented procedures have not been applied and in doing so has disadvantaged the student to a degree which has materially affected the decision/recommendation made, rendering it unsound. (Refer to Annex - Assessment Policy).
    • The lack of opportunity to show examples of competency against the assessment criteria/and or national academic standards.
    • That the decision-making body took a decision which no reasonable person would find comprehensible. Disagreement with the decision does not make it manifestly unreasonable. To apply this ground, students must provide substantive argumentation as to why no reasonable person could have arrived at the decision that was made.
    • The prejudice or bias of an assessor, which can be proven.

The following circumstances will not be considered grounds for appeal:

    • Perceived past shortcomings in tuition, supervision or support not previously raised with the EDUVISA Graduate School of Management cannot be considered as grounds for appeal.  Concerns about the quality of teaching or supervision, or other issues related to the delivery of a study programme before assessment should be addressed under the Student Complaints Policy as they occur.
    • An Appeal may not be made to question the academic judgment of the Assessment Board. The student's feeling that the result unfairly reflects the merit of their work, or their ability is not a ground of appeal.
    • An Appeal may not be made against the actual mark awarded for a piece of assessed work, which is a matter of academic judgement, except where the case rests on a claim of procedural irregularity.
    • Errors in calculating or recording marks on the basis of which the original decision was made cannot be submitted as grounds for appeal, unless these errors have been identified by the student and brought to the attention of the EDUVISA Graduate School of Management.

Appeals will only be accepted if submitted within one calendar month of the student receiving notification of the decision they wish to appeal against (or publication of results in the case of classification appeals).   Only developed cases, made using the Appeal form and presented clearly and comprehensibly, in accordance with the requirements set out in the Appeals Procedure, will be accepted.   There may be times when a student submits an appeal, the subject of which is actually a complaint, or vice versa.  In these cases, the EDUVISA Graduate School of Management may decide to reclassify the appeal or complaint, at whatever stage of the procedure that has been reached, and the EDUVISA Graduate School of Management will inform the student of this.

The Academic Appeals procedure is split into 3 stages, which represents the process of acceleration, the internal and external personnel and the time scales involved.

    DISTANCE EDUCATION POLICY

This policy applies to all distance education programs, students, faculty, centres and staff associated with EduVisa. It encompasses online courses, blended learning, and any other methods where teaching and learning occur outside the physical university campus. The EduVisa Distance Education Policy is embodied in, housed on and promulgated online via the EduVisa Virtual University System (EVUS) based on the following guiding principles:

    • Accessible - Provide adaptable learning solutions to accommodate diverse schedules and needs by ensuring that higher and tertiary education is accessible to diverse populations, including those in remote areas at a global level.

    • Accredited - Deliver high-quality education that meets academic and professional standards at a UK-Ofqual and UK-University (BAC) level for international benchmark purposes.

The implementation of the EduVisa Distance Education Policy resides within the secure ambit of the EVUS platform which accommodates all facets of university administration, academic delivery and policy compliance. This ensures that the EduVisa Faculty design and deliver courses based on sound pedagogic and distance education methods while meeting UK-Ofqual and UK-University qualification quality control requirements. To this extend EduVisa maintains a robust Learning Management System (EVUS) which complies with data privacy and security requirements (See EduVisa Data Protection Policy) that ensure courses are interactive, engaging, and aligned with academic goals while utilising fair and transparent online assessment methods and learning outcomes.
