BEYOND ADVENTURE BACKGROUND

The Beyond Adventure (SA) Campus, situated on the Bushman Sands Golf Estate at Alicedale in the game belt (Shamwari Game Reserve & Addo Elephant Park) of the Eastern Cape Province (South Africa), is Covic-19 Protocol certified, isolated from major metropolitan areas and surrounded by the wide-open spaces of the Eastern-Cape bushveld.

As an extreme adventure campus, it is the ideal environment where the individual, in addition to a foundation BBA/MBA Curriculum component, can experience leadership development while completing various extreme adventure-based activity programmes including inter alia the following: Archery, Beginner Off-road 4 x 4 course, Bungee Jumping, High and low rope Courses, Kayaking, Mountain Biking, Rock Climbing, Scuba Diving, Self-Defence, Skydiving, ARA Level 2, First-aid Formal Dinner Etiquette.

 

LEADERSHIP TRAINING IN THE AFRICAN BUSH

Upon leaving high school or college, many young people are faced with the question of preparing themselves for a future in a rapidly changing world. The Beyond Adventure GAP-Year has already made a life-changing difference in the lives of hundreds of young school-leavers over a period of more than a decade and combines an African Bush leadership experience with the EduVisa Diploma in Higher Education Access (Dip. HEA) that qualifies students to register for a UK-accredited BBA/B.Sc./BBA-Hons or MBA Degree via EduVisa Graduate School of Management. Completion of the Dip.HEA qualify students to register for a UK-accredited BBA/B.Sc./BBA-Hons or MBA Degree via EduVisa Graduate School of Management. This is the ideal programme for the young person who seeks clarification about his/her purpose in life while commencing with online graduate management studies that leads to a Bachelor's (BBA, B.Sc.) or Master's (MBA, M.Sc.) Degree in Management at a university or business school in the UK or elsewhere.

 

ACCESS TO A UK-BBA/MBA PROGRAMME 

The Beyond Adventure High-Adventure GAP-Year focuses on the development of personal leadership capacity in a nature-intensive environment linked to extreme adventure experiences, while simultaneously completing a Diploma in Higher Education Access (Dip. HEA) (L3-IQF). Successful completion of the Diploma in Higher Education Access (Dip.HEA) (L3-IQF), which automatically forms part of the GAP-Year Curriculum, provides the student with access to the EduVisa UK-University System and allows the student to commence with first-year studies towards a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies (BBA, B.Sc.) or the EduVisa Master's in Business Administration (MBA) Degree (Integrated Curriculum) during their stay at the Beyond Adventure Campus.

The Diploma in Higher Education Access (Dip. HEA) (IQF-L3) consists of 8 modules (Instructor-led seminar sessions) that introduce the learner/student to online study methodology as well as foundational management theory that will allow him/her to seamlessly ease into online management studies via the EduVisa University Programme. Learners/students who have completed the Dip.HEA course may upon successful completion register immediately for the Diploma in Management (Dip.Man) (Bachelor 1st Year) as part of the UK-Ofqual/UniQual regulated university pathway towards a Bachelor (BBA, B.Sc. & BBA-Hons) or Masters (MBA) Degree. Students are also able to continue their Bachelor/MBA studies after completion of the Beyond Adventure ELA Programme via the EduVisa Online Learner Management System or, alternatively, may continue to reside and study in the isolated and safe nature-based environment offered by the Beyond Adventure Campus (Covid-19 Protocol Approved).

EduVisa Graduate School of Management and University Gateway provides a cost-effective gateway to UK-based university level qualifications registered on the UK-Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) and regulated by the UK Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual). Our BBA-Hons and MBA Degree Programme results in a Bachelor (BBA-Hons) or Master's of Business Administration Degree awarded by a UK-University of choice (See University Progression) and (BBA/MBA Top-Up).

 

QUALIFICATIONS AVAILABLE TO BA GAP-YEAR

ONLINE ACADEMIC SUPPORT

At EduVisa Graduate School of Management, students receive the same academic support associated with a campus-based university. Instead of attending physical classes, students utilise the EduVisa Virtual University System (EVUS) to access study material, class presentations, interactive video material and online assessments guided by their online lecturer/tutor via the interactive message system.
