PROGRAMME ORIENTATION
The Diploma in Management (L4Dip.Man) (Bachelor Year 1) (RQF-Theory Application) equips the BBA/MBA candidate with a generic theoretical foundation in Business Management at Bachelor 1st Year Level and is credit-bearing towards the EDUVISA BBA-Hons/MBA/M.Sc. Degree Programme to be completed at a UK or international Partner University of choice (See University Progression).
It follows a UK-Ofqual regulated Bachelor in Business curriculum meeting the regulatory requirements associated with the British Ofqual Qualification Framework and British University System. The curriculum is composed of prescribed modules (core units) which are supported by interactive video material, online study resources and formative module tests and summative assignment assessments. The programme is supervised by senior online lecturers and academic tutors guided by the EDUVISA Virtual University System (EVUS).
The Diploma in Business Management (L4Dip.Man) is delivered via the EduNet Online Learner Management System (OLMS) or EDUVISA Virtual University System (EVUS) depending on the geographical region the student may occupy. This enables students in both rural and urban areas to study while still fulfilling their personal and employment responsibilities. The qualification prepares learners for a range of careers but mainly serves as a theoretical foundation on which further studies can be based and as such is an escalating step toward obtaining a Bachelor's (BBA-Hons) or Master's in Business Administration (MBA) Degree at a British or alternative university of choice.
PROGRAMME ALIGNMENT
The Diploma in Business Management (4Dip.Man) (RQF) equals the 1st Academic Year Bachelor of Business Management (BBA01) but also forms part of the Integrated Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree Programme.
Upon completion, the candidate will be awarded an Ofqual-certified Diploma in Management (L4Dip.Man) (RQF) (600/1325/4) which qualifies the student to register for the Bachelor in Business Management 2nd Year consisting of the Higher Diploma in Management (L5HDip.Man) (IQF + RQF).
ASSESSMENT GUIDELINES
An online Module Assessment must be completed to verify that the candidate has studied and mastered the subject content to a satisfactory level in line with curriculum requirements. Candidates are required to obtain a mark of at least 50% per Module assessment during the IQF-Theory Foundation phase in order to proceed to the next module or an average of 50% to progress to the next academic level.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The registration requirement for the Diploma in Management (L4Dip.Man) (RQF-Moderated Assessment) is successful completion of the Diploma in Management (L43Dip.Man) (IQF-Formative Theory Assessment).
PROGRESSION
The Diploma in Business Management (L4Dip.Man) introduces the student to the exciting world of business management and is aimed to position him/her to not only compete but to excel at a global corporate or entrepreneurial level. Students who have completed the Diploma in Management (L4Dip.Man) (IQF + RQF) may progress to the Bachelor 2nd Year consisting of the Higher Diploma in Management (L5HDip.Man) (IQF + RQF).
SYLLABUS
The Diploma in Management (L4Dip.Man) (RQF) follows a UK-Ofqual curriculum and ensures that the candidate, upon completion, is adequately prepared to meet the academic requirements associated with a Bachelor 3rd Year which will be completed at a UCN partnering UK or international university of choice.

Essentials of Management - The Module Unit covers the principles and functions of management and provides the candidate with insight into the key elements in planning and decision-making, and the significance of different controls required in an organisation.

Fundamentals of Economics – The Module Unit covers fundamental economic theories and concepts which are applied in decision-making in a business environment and provides the candidate with an understanding of the economic environment and its effect upon business organisations and their markets.

Communications for Business – The Module Unit provides an introduction to a wide range of skills for business professionals and enables the candidate to cover the production of various types of documents and presentations as well as the skills needed to communicate effectively in a business environment.

Understanding Business Organisations – The Module Unit introduces the objectives, roles, functions and various forms of business organisations to the candidate as they adapt to a dynamic and changing environment.

Business Mathematics – The Module Unit covers a range of mathematical techniques and formulae to support business studies and develop the ability to make informed business decisions. The candidate will also be taught to present and analyse business data.

Introduction to Finance – The Module Unit introduces the basic concepts and techniques of financial and managerial accounting while also considering the role of accounting in recording and reporting financial performance and in providing information to decision makers.

eBusiness – The Module Unit explores a wide range of applications for eCommerce and the use of these in solving business problems and introduce the candidate to state-of-the-art technologies and their major impact on the business world.

Principles of Marketing – The Module Unit examines the role and value of marketing in today’s increasingly competitive and dynamic environment while allowing the candidate to practise marketing principles in order to analyse, plan and implement policies to achieve marketing and corporate objectives.
ACADEMIC PROGRESSION
Candidates who have completed the Diploma in Management (L4Dip.Man) allows the candidate entry to a Bachelor 2nd Year or Higher Diploma in Management (L5HDip.Man).
