ORIENTATION

We live in a knowledge-based society, and the more critical you think the better your knowledge will be. Critical Thinking provides you with the skills to analyze and evaluate information so that you are able to obtain the greatest amount of knowledge from it. It provides the best chance of making the correct decision and minimizes damages if a mistake does occur. Critical Thinking will lead to being a more rational and disciplined thinker. It will reduce your prejudice and bias which will provide a better understanding of the environment you operate in. This course will also provide you with the skills to evaluate, identify, and distinguish between relevant and irrelevant information. It will lead you to be more productive in your career and provide a great skill in your everyday life.

The objectives of this course are as follows:

• Understand the components of critical thinking
• Utilize non-linear thinking
• Use logical thinking
• Recognize what it means to be a critical thinker
• Evaluate information using critical thinking skills
• Identify the benefits of critical thinking
• Revise perspective, when necessary
• Comprehend problem-solving abilities

DURATION OF THE COURSE

The course could typically be completed within 1 - 3 days depending on the commitment and effort of the student. An online test assessment will be scheduled as soon as the student has communicated his/her readiness to the Online Tutor to take the examination. The pass rate for this course is 60%.

STUDY METHODOLOGY

Students access the prescribed Study Manual as well as the Online Test Assessment by clicking on the link in the left column of the Student Dashboard. Upon completion of the Online Test Assessment, the student will be activated for the next Course.

ONLINE TEST ASSESSMENT

The Online Test Assessment consist of a combination of multiple-choice, true-false as well as assignment-format questions.  

ACADEMIC PROGRESSION

Students who have successfully completed the Certificate in Human Resources Skills (L3Cert.Skill) may progress to the Diploma in Higher Education Access (L3Dip.HEA) in order to access the EduVisa UK Bachelor/Masters Degree Programme or alternatively continue to specialise in the subject matter by registering towards the Professional Diploma in Human Resources Management (L6PDip.Man) (SA) (IQF).

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Use the  Pay Online Button  on the Course Portal to be directed to the secure Payment Gateway (PayPal, PayFast, FlyWire) to effect EFT, Debit/Credit Card and Bank/Cash Deposit payments in R, £, ¥, € or $.
